Tricon Steel & Alloys is a prominent manufacturer and supplier of ASTM A671 CC60 pipes, catering to the diverse needs of industries requiring reliable and durable piping solutions. ASTM A671 CC60 is a specification that covers electric-fusion-welded steel pipe suitable for atmospheric and lower temperatures applications. This pipe grade is often used in various industrial sectors such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation, and water supply. The "CC60" designation indicates the minimum yield strength of 60,000 psi (415 MPa). ASTM A671 CC60 pipes are commonly used in various industries, including oil and gas, petrochemical, and power generation.
Key characteristics of ASTM A671 CC60 pipe include its electric fusion welding process, which ensures a strong and durable bond. The welding process involves the application of electric heat to melt and join the steel components. This results in a pipe with a uniform structure and enhanced mechanical properties, making it suitable for demanding applications.

The Rolling and Welding Stage
To begin our process, we first need to go through the rolling and welding stage. The Carbon steel is placed through a checking process and cut at the edges in this stage.
Cleaning and Warming Stage
The rolled Carbon steel pipes thus manufactured are cut to the required lengths depending upon the industrial demand.
Cold-Drawing Stage
Sometimes, the required size isn’t obtained when the steel is brought through the mill directly. When using the cold-drawing process, the desired size is achieved when the pipes and tubing are coated with oxalic and soap solution and dragged over die plugs—the oxalic and soap solution help reduce friction when going through the cold cycle.
The Finishing Process
The final process is the finisher. Once the process of manufacturing ASTM A671 CC60 Pipe and tubing is completed, you’ll now have to take them to a jet printer.
