Tricon Steel & Alloys is a premium ASTM A106 Grade C carbon steel seamless pipe manufacturer in Mumbai, India. This pipe remains a cornerstone in applications requiring high pressure and high temperatures. It ensures reliability, efficiency and durability in industries including oil and gas power generation and refinery sites, making it desirable for critical operations.
ASTM A106 Grade C Carbon Steel Seamless Pipe is a type of pipe manufactured to American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) specifications. This grade of carbon steel pipe is specially designed for high-temperature service in applications such as oil, gas, petrochemical interiors, power generation and manufacturing facilities. Suitable for Use One of its main properties is its ability to withstand high temperatures and pressures, which is critical for steam operations, air or water under extreme conditions.
Table Of Content
Stainless steel ASTM A106 Grade C pipes ensure uniformity in design and strength, reducing the risk of weaknesses compromising its integrity under stress. This simple design facilitates efficient flow, reduces friction losses and increases overall system performance. Additionally, seamless pipes are less corrosive than welded pipes, prolonging their life and reducing maintenance requirements.
The ASTM A106 Grade C Carbon Steel Seamless Pipe application extends to various industries and processes. These pipelines transport crude oil, natural gas, and refined petroleum products from extraction sites to processing and distribution centres in the oil and gas industry. In chemical plants and processing facilities, ASTM A106 Grade C pipes facilitate the transfer of various liquids and gases associated with producing chemicals, fuels, and other industrial products.
Various testing methods are performed to ensure the quality and reliability of ASTM A106 Grade C Carbon Steel Seamless Pipe. These include chemical analysis to assess the structural integrity of the steel, mechanical testing to assess its tensile strength, yield strength and expansion properties, and non-destructive testing methods such as ultrasonic testing and vortex current testing to detect defects. Whatever is wrong has a garment. Hydrostatic testing is often used to evaluate the pressure resistance of the pipe to ensure that it meets the required safety standards.

The Rolling and Welding Stage
To begin our process, we first need to go through the rolling and welding stage. The Carbon steel is placed through a checking process and cut at the edges in this stage.
Cleaning and Warming Stage
The rolled Carbon steel pipes thus manufactured are cut to the required lengths depending upon the industrial demand.
Cold-Drawing Stage
Sometimes, the required size isn’t obtained when the steel is brought through the mill directly. When using the cold-drawing process, the desired size is achieved when the pipes and tubing are coated with oxalic and soap solution and dragged over die plugs—the oxalic and soap solution help reduce friction when going through the cold cycle.
The Finishing Process
The final process is the finisher. Once the process of manufacturing ASTM A106 Grade C Pipe and tubing is completed, you’ll now have to take them to a jet printer.
