Whether in chemical processing, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, or other sectors, these pipes exemplify unparalleled reliability and resilience, making them the preferred choice for critical applications.
EN standards, or European Norms, are a set of technical specifications and guidelines established by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) to ensure product quality, safety, and interoperability within the European Union (EU) and other countries. These standards cover various industries, including manufacturing, construction, engineering, and services. Tricon Steel & Alloys takes pride in being a leading EN Pipe Supplier and EN Pipe Manufacturer, adhering to these rigorous standards.
One of the main characteristics of EN standards is their role in unifying technical specifications across European nations, promoting the unrestricted flow of goods and services within the EU Single Market. By providing manufacturers with a common framework, they simplify production processes and reduce trade barriers. Furthermore, EN standards foster innovation and competitiveness by setting benchmarks for performance and quality.
Industries such as construction materials, machinery, electrical equipment, and healthcare rely on EN Standards Pipe for their critical applications. For instance, EN 1090 specifies the requirements for fabricating and assembling steel and aluminium structures, ensuring the structural integrity and safety of infrastructure projects. Similarly, EN ISO 13485 sets requirements for quality management systems in the design and manufacturing of medical devices, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Depending on the specific requirements of each standard and the type of product, different tests are conducted to assess compliance with EN standards. Common test types include mechanical testing, chemical analysis, electrical safety testing, and performance evaluation. Accredited testing laboratories carry out these assessments to confirm that products meet the required specifications.
Additionally, conformity assessment procedures like certification and product marking are essential to demonstrate compliance with EN standards. Manufacturers must undergo rigorous evaluations to obtain CE marking, indicating conformity with relevant EU directives and EN standards. This certification involves initial type testing, factory production control audits, and continuous surveillance to ensure ongoing compliance.

The Rolling and Welding Stage
To begin our process, we first need to go through the rolling and welding stage. The EN Standards is placed through a checking process and cut at the edges in this stage.
Cleaning and Warming Stage
The rolled EN Standards pipes thus manufactured are cut to the required lengths depending upon the industrial demand.
Cold-Drawing Stage
Sometimes, the required size isn’t obtained when the steel is brought through the mill directly. When using the cold-drawing process, the desired size is achieved when the pipes and tubing are coated with oxalic and soap solution and dragged over die plugs—the oxalic and soap solution help reduce friction when going through the cold cycle.
The Finishing Process
The final process is the finisher. Once the process of manufacturing EN Standards pipes and tubing is completed, you’ll now have to take them to a jet printer.
